Aree zara hataka chalna
In Mumbai today and I feel/felt (in chronological order)
- panicky by the throngs of people waiting outside the airport
- confused on seeing fam friends aged
- as if I visited it yesterday. What is it about India that everytime I visit it, subatmoic particles in my body go - this is all familiar and yet not. This is home and yet not.
- aching for my iPhone, my broadband connection, my laptop, my car, and all sorts of technological goodies that my decadent self has been used to.
- mildy guilty about not feeling anything about not giving the beggar lady at traffic light change. This after donating to the Burma fund - My name is Me and I am a practising hypocrite.
Also, missing boy, but in a 'oh I am going to see him again in a month, after which we get married'!!!!
Today, I go shopping with family friends for indian clothes and lovely shoes

Welcome to India Maydum. Enjoy!
I want to go to India too. I want to buy block print material and khadi and take to a tailor who will stitch for me the kurta/kurti/top/blouse/skirt/churidaar of my dreams!!
Then I want to buy silver jewellery that will match my new outfit and wear kohl and bindi.
I think I'm missing India. and very jealous that you are where I want to be.
