Boy & I have been checking out officiants - saying that sounds so irreverent - screening them?
We met with a really great officiant who seemed to want to get to know us whilst making us laugh, I had a meeting with a videographer, who makes quirky 30 minute videos, whom I am sort of besotted with but who is not within our budget.
Have a meeting on Friday with another who also has a bevy of photographers to choose from, who are all on my favorite lists, so fingers crossed!
On other wedding news, I have lost another 5 pounds. I still have some weight to lose but the good thing about having been obscenely overweight is the confidence any weight loss brings, so got quite smug and had a mini-pig out session yesterday but oh well!
The wedding invitation is done, all I need to do is put together the program, choose the printer, the paper, and tra-la-la, I have an invitation & a program - hoorah :)
Have an appointment on Wednesday for a nice little salon downtown to do my hair and test out their services for wedding make-up/hair
things seem to come together nicely.

Hurray! It sounds to me like you've got a handle on things.
Speaking of videographers/photogs, what range is your budget in? That might help narrow down the recommendations some. My friend is back tomorrow - wise man took off on a Monday so he wouldn't have one this week! I think you'll find though, that there are plenty of these people around who do a fine job and one will be in your budget!
Congrats on the five pound loss! You will look absolutely stunning in your wedding sari - I am sure of it!
