  • trekked to local lib yesterday to get myself all sorts of cover letter magic books, because I am that kind of anal perfectionist
  • am proceeding today to shut myself in room with motivating music of 'shining through climbing mountains' variety to hammer out cover letter.
  • will not emerge out till thing is done and finished or till giggly friend and her boy arrive, which is late in even, or till hair apt. at 2:30
  • completely off topic but am listening to sgt. pepper's lonely hearts club and really, was there any band more gloriously indulgent in their highness than the Beatles?

UPDATE:
wOw.
After 7 hours of self-imposed exile in house to do cover letter and enhance the rubbish out of them, I am done.
All Done I tell you!.
Have dispatched resume and cover letter to near and dear ones and acquaintances for review.
Things I did while supposedly working on them:
Checked out bloggers, sundry websites, listened to BBC2's Diana Concert (makes me all sad now that she's dead - didn't particularly care then), semi-watched Burn Notice (ooh nothing cooler than a dry witty spy), made snacks, ate snacks, talked on phone, talked to Roomie, danced to sgt. pepper's and Take That (always pumped after that, always!), changed outfits to better suit concentration mood,
all of above, while simultaneously working like a dog on stuff.

Sgt Pepper is perfect for lifting up a grumpycrankypressuredangry day. It's so hard to listen to and not start smiling inside.

Good luck with the magic cover letter. You will be just fine.

And try not to take it out on The Boy too much. You could have gone with the courthouse and been married... It was as much your decision as his. You can always change your mind, you know. If the being married part is becoming more important than the wedding part, you can still do the courthouse and have your celebration later...

Here's me shutting up now! ;)

If you have started with your covering letter, then that must mean that you are done with your resume...WOW!! I thought the covering letter was the easy part..

Here's another song for you :

"We shall overcome...." (you know the rest) :-D
