Resume Rant

Is there anything more dastardly than working on your resume?
"In charge of,
Support,
Took the lead,
Manage,
Coordinate"
I Loathe these words.
Loathe them. And objective - I'll give you an objective - JUST GIVE ME A fracking JOB away from this micromanaging piece of tripe one.

Newbossinfreshcity is a person i can learn lots from, if only I can get to him.
'Cause though I report directly to him, I need to go through intermediaries, (they who drink from the corporate Kool aid daily) to get to him.
honestly - like Oldbossman said - it's like I am living in the movie Office Space.
Email in morning to caution me about proper request forms and proper language in corporate piece,
phone call in the afternoon to explain email,
Phone call the next day from intermediary to explain what newbossman explained to me on on phone. (yEs, yes, I was there )
End result: corporate piece now has word 'enhanced' removed.
It' s like the higher you climb up the corporate ladder, the more you have to bow to micromanagers.

Hence the work on resume.
Lesson learnt: Never get so complacent in job that you let resume get outdated even by a couple of months. NEVER. For by then your spirit will have been so crushed by corporate intermediaries that you've quite forgotten what you did/do to earn salary.

:) Oh I love updating my resume. Every time I'm made to feel useless I sit down and add a line.
All the best. Hope your resume impresses the heck out of people who see it.

I'd say come do radio traffic in Sunnystate, but the pay sucks. And it's part time. We don't get no respect...

Bloody annoying stuff - I hadn't touched mine since my last part time job 2 years back and then had to redo it over for my first-real-job-after-uni hunt. Sheesh - writing BS is harder to talk BS but funnily I'm better at it :D Good luck Me :)
