Once in a while a movie comes along, that completely grips you and makes you forget misery of world all around.
And you are ridiculously 'inspired' by it, and even if you are slightly, (oh so v. slightly) piqued by historical inaccuracies.
You gleefully excuse inaccuracies because of the other oh-so-redeeming qualities of movie. Mundanity of life melts away, and you are filled with gratitude that eyes could see such feast.



I can not believe I did not pay homage to this earlier.
Gerald Butler - no, no - King Leonides - complete with buffed chest and hardened wrinkles and sandals and beard - is who I want boy to be when he is 40

I first saw HIM in the insipid "Dear Frankie" and since then have been raving about him to all and sundry. My fantasy has him and Daniel Craig fighting over who gets to date me.
