Work-Life

At 10 at night

The Devil Wears Prada got seen by us (Roomie and I)
And it was glorious.
Miss Hathaway should really just get out of the way so that the Streep who is smashingly fabulous, can be on the screen more.
It made me ponder though.
What is this work-life balance that the Hathaway camp kept blabbering about?
When I was a highly paid intern in the horrible world of retailing, it got hammered into our heads.
Work-Life balance is important.
And it was important because I was in the horrible world of retailing.
But if I found a job that made me deliriously happy like working for the top fashion magazine in the country, all I would need is a little bed time with the Boy and a little chat time with some galpals.
I wouldn’t care if I came in at 9 in the pm, or that I have to fly around the world, or that I couldn’t spend enough time with friends and family.
Maybe it’s because I am insanely bored at my present job or that most of my galpals can only be reached by messenger after midnight or because I get to spend way too much time with acquaintances and family and everybody in between.
But really, if I were lucky enough to find work that seized me and made me want to get up in the morning and run to work, then I would tip the work-life balance a lot.
