It was such a pretty weekend - with nice winds and sunny skies

the boy and I cleaned his old car in our driveway - vacuumed, buffed, shined and even fabric cleaned the car out - till it dies out, i am using it and cleaning it out felt like a christening
i put this beautiful jeweled car ornament cross up in the car
and now rightly feel the car is all mine!
we are still on the lookout for long dreamed of Prius, but they seem to be scarce and till then, this is mine!!!!! - sigh it feels so good to not have to borrow the boy's unmanageably cumbersome lexus. i am not a big car person. and the idea of its dismally low mileage just makes me worry about how far i travel.
we cleaned up, went out for lovely sushi, and went to the beach and hijacked an abandoned lifeguard's chair and just sat there looking at the stars and feeling the sea.

sunday we threw some lamb kababs, peach and plums on the grill and ate it with some fresh made eggplant salad

i just feel blessed and beautiful to be alive with each other.
