News & Happenings
More than anything, I want to remain calm during this period.
Because I want to remember every single second of the days leading up to the wedding.
I can not can not believe it's 1 month and 28 days away.
We got our invitation and have had a slight hiccup over the envelopes. The cards turned out to be an inch larger than the envelopes, so having to reorder the envelopes. So it's taking longer than anticipated for sending them out. But I am not too worried.
Actually what I was a bit worried about what people will think of me (silly thought right?) - not having send out the invitations yet. At some point, I wanted everybody to think this was the most organized wedding they every attended.
I have since given up because I sort of, kind of have been rather muddled about hotels for guests and I think i may have not done the right thing by a friend. I have so much anxiety in me over how my guests are going to feel - if they are going to get bored, if they are going to enjoy themselves, what are they going to do over the weekend, how are my bridesmaids going to enjoy themselves, what if friends from college never speak to me again because they didn't have fun at wedding .... talk about giving oneself a heart attack.
I think its genetic. At home, I had to constantly stop my mom from doing all these bizarre things because she thought random people visiting were getting bored at home.
So...learning to control that.
I got back in touch with all the vendors. I was a bit woozy over the weekend because I lost my driver's license in New York - talk about the irony of that.
But have applied for brand new Florida one - wooh ooo one step to getting closer to being a Floridian!
A friend of ours is getting engaged over the fourth of July and I am super excited to attend their Indian Engagement party, which spans over 3 days - I know!
It gives me such an opportunity to try on all the western & Indian ware I got from that mecca of shopping - B'bay!
all in all, everything is going ok. I am on the lookout for a new job & what can I say, I believe life is unfurling rather nicely.

Wedding is for you and the boy and not for rest of the folks that are coming there.
Enjoy these days and watch 27 dresses when u get a chance
There is no such thing as a "perfectly organized wedding". It is a myth.
And don't worry about your guests. They probably entertain themselves quite nicely when they're on their own!
Glad you're home. Don't obsess. It will all be just fine!
so so SO excited for you!!1 i remember doing all this and it was the best and worst time...take care!!
Do not worry about the guests. People will have fun no matter what.
Hey,
I have to agree with Thanu that the wedding IS for you and the Boy- the reception, however, IS for the guests. :) In my experience, anyway. :)
And I am sure everyone will entertain themselves quite well in a beautiful place like Florida!
Oh, and use the bridesmaids as PAs. That will help a lot. :)

I can't believe it's almost here! I'm sure everything will go wonderfully. And if there's a snafu or two...you can always laugh about them with your grandkids. ;-)
