It's official
I will be leaving smalltownamerica on March 1.
Can I just say - I love the people I work with & I don't think I will ever have so much fun anywhere else.
I told the newniceboss.
And then my favoldbossman
And the friends
And then newniceboss sent out an email to all and sundry.
And then topbossman had a 'come to jesus' meeting with me about the whole going to bat for me (let the colloquisms reign forth) and then having me ditch them after two weeks, while I squirmed miserably in leather chair, after which I looked up and he said - 'it was a good decision personally but not from a business stand point. But lord, you just look so upset I can't go anymore.' and then came the whole 'we'll miss you' bit..
And then came the emails, the funniest of which was:
"Omar, you are leaving us already? Getting deported?"
No, Sanchez, i just can't take your kind anymore"
"Me, is it because you realized Jesus doesn't love you anymore?
No, it's because he told me you were the spawn of the devil and I must get away"
As I said, I don't think I will find others of the same ilk anywhere else.
AND THEN,
OMG,
I GOT BELOW IN PERSONAL INBOX:
"Dear Me,
You are booked and we are good. Your deposit will be ran on xxx. Thanks and we are excited to host your wedding here on August 15, 2008."
Am I excited?

Must call the Amma & the father
Must put the redhead to work on invitations.

Yippeee!!!! Guess the fax finally worked. Is this venue going to be in SunnyState where you AND boy are going to be living? Or are you going to have to trek all the way back to smalltownamerica to get hitched?
Don't feel bad about leaving. It's your life and you need to live it how and where you want to - which is with THE BOY.
