So
when
I sat down to read the Potter book - I couldn't do it at first. Beside the fact that once started, i had to get to end, I kept thinking back to when I had first started reading it, ages ago, in collegetownindia and the person I was then.
How the Annmol told me that if I didn't read it, it would just confirm what an idiot i was.
And of the friends who read them with me
And how after coming here, I worried about never finding cool enough people to share Potter trivia with
And then the RedHead came along, who was full of much more Potter mania than I,
and how we rushed to get them year and after year
and the insane messages we left on each other's phone while reading them,
and how the Redhead would wait around, tapping her fingers for me to finish reading it because she's a freak and can finish a million pages in 6 hours, so that we could dissect it bit by lovely bit.
And how the boy would roll his eyes when we went on and on.
And a zillion other memories attached to it.
And now A phase has ended.
yeah, it's a kid's book - but while it was going on, we could pretend to believe too...it's like it was the Star Wars of our times.
If I hadn't sworn off alcohol completely after my last run-in with it, I would so have thrown a farewell party for Potter peoples!

But you know, she did not state categorically that she would not write another book! besides there are always the re-reads.
Btw waiting to read it.
I love Potter....
....but I admit to being an extreme cheapskate and will wait until it comes out in paperback.
You know what? I haven't even begun the first on. I know, i know... I will someday...
Hehehehe, I finished it. Developed a headache and had dreams about Harry and company.
The sign of a true geek.
