Never freaking get freaking wasted on the day the Harry Potter book comes out.
The last HP book, for freak's sake!
Do not listen to colleaguefriends who get you Patron shots just because they've been traveling and you been traveling and you never see them anymore.

Suffice to say my HP launch day was a fiasco.
It is now 3 in the am. And I do not have my car, had to bloody walk through a gazillion sprinklers to get to Wal-Mart where they are practically giving away the Potter book.
All the way enduring painful conversation with the RedHead berating me on late start on Potter BOok.
'I am on Chapter 15 and everybody is already dead'
NOOOOOO
'Well it serves you right, you drunk wench'.
Have the book safely in hand,
have ejected alcoholic contents of stomach,
have a vague notion I called the boy up in restroom to tell him exactly how I would have his children,
and am now sitting with tons of water to see if I can start on the book.
This day does not bode well for me.
And I still have a 'going away party' to go to, a wedding to attend and the ruddy speedreader of a redhead to see in the evening.

I hope to go pick up my book today. Thanks for not spoiling it in the next comment. I had two kids to watch Friday night and Saturday was spent testing for my next belt. So today it is!
