I have nothing to blog about. All my tales have been
seeped out by cleaning and organizing the bedroom.
Which is why the M.L suggested I blog about this:
The Boy had given me this gigantic King size bed a year ago. The most
ridiculous thing in the world.
I had just moved to new place in smalltownamerica.
And had this tiny single mattress, refer blog banner pic, which was nice and tiny.
Around the same time Boy's uncle was moving houses and was giving away his (uncle's) huge king size bed.
As soon as the boy heard about the bed, I saw the gleam in his eye.
NO, i said: DONOT GET me the bed for the new place.
It's ugly and it's got a mirror headboard. It'soooo 80s.
But did the boy listen?
nO, he lugged this king size
monstrosity all the way from flatsunflowerstate to smalltownamerica.
And with his friends set it up in my place while I was at work.
Never give a boy who has so-so taste in furniture key to your place.
I was so mad at him and the monstrosity that he inflicted on my lovely new place that that I took it apart then and there
and threw away the hideous 80s mirror headboard and put it away.
The Boy just shook his head and got busy with moving away to sunnystate.
(not because I put away ugly bed or anything)
it's been a year since I touched the thing.
But once the organizing bedroom genie seized me, I needed something to fill the room out.
I had my book shelf and I had my desk but it was missing something.
So I put away tiny single mattress bed and took all the parts of the king size bed sans ugly mirror bit out.
I can see why the boy needed his friends to set this thing up.
It has frames that are designed by bloody engineers which is why the Roomie was
so a big help.
Anyways, i finally set it up (you need a step ladder just to
climb it) and got king size bed sheets and stuff.
Geez.
And then I got myself a nice tray table to rest laptopthatboybought on and
my lovely papasan's all fluffed out and set up. And it looks organized
and tidy and makes me feel all peaceful and not want
to get out of my room.
And though I hated it at first,
it's heavenly having a king size bed - the bounce
and space on bed is amazing.
Sometimes I feel the Boy will go to all sorts of
trouble to get me stuff that I insisted I didn't particularly want
but which he thinks I'll learn to love if he'll get it.
It's a hit or miss thing - this theory of his.

oh Me, the 80s are sooo back. I wish I had a mirrored headboard.
I think we need a pic of the new bed now.
M.L.
With a king sized bed you can never go wrong :P Mirror headboard or not lol.
Pic time!
I wish I had boy (not your boy, me - just my own) to give me king-sized bed with or without mirrored headboard.
COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS, SWEET IDIOT BLOGPAL!
Love king-sized beds. Hate prices for bedding though. Keep an eye on JCPenney for sales. Good stuff at good prices. I just bought some bedding stuff at their "Buy 1 get the second for .88" sale which is the ONLY way I could afford pillows and such for the bed.
My bed is a haven. Yours should be too (thanks to far-thinking boy).
