Peeve for the day
Does nobody else have a problem with Jolie going Brownie for a mighty heart?
Granted the ex-blood wearing, neo-mother teresa of international families is supposedly a fine actress, but come now please, somebody please give me some info on real-life white people or interracial-on-the-inside-white-on-the-outside people that are being played on screen by Black/Hispanic/Brown actresses.
Update after some browsing:
Less peeved now that the Berry is doing this, as long as it's all kind of balancing out along the colour lines.

no guy in his right mind would have any problems whatsoever with Joile doing anything except for marrying Brad and having 14 kids...
so i guess that my thoughts in this matter really don't count! :P
U dont have to go all the way to USA ( oh wait..u ARE in the USA!!) to see people literally using grease paint..there was a time when north indians actors used to put boot polish to act like South Indians..and then go around singing "hum kaaley hain tho kya hua, dilwale hain!"
Sometimes I get peeved to see non-disabled actors portraying people who have disabilites. There are many fine acting groups that are very diversified.
I shake my head and ask---you couldn't find ONE actor who uses a wheelchair for REAL? grrr.
Nachi - that's what the boy said too...uhmm..
Everyman - oh that used to irk me when they had those hindi actors play south indian and of course all s.indians had a 'madrasi' accent.
Attila - wow...i never thought of that. You are right. Why does that not happen more often...uhmm...I remember being amazed that corky from life goes on had down syndrome in real life. I think it opened up a whole new perspective for me when I was a kid - that any dream is possible for anybody. uhm...slightly off topic but really, your comments makes me think.
