Conversation with the venerable trainer

Venerable trainer (looking suspciously at huffing-out-of-breadth me): Have you keeping up with the cardio this last week?

Me: Yeah, of course.

[UGGGHhhh..I must stop lying like this. Which reminds me of conversation in train with Random BatchMate from long ago college
RBM: You HAVE to see Liar, Liar. That's a movie you HAVE TO see.
Me: Really? is it good.
RBM: Yeah, you'll totally relate to it.

Which was a WTF? moment for me. Did she mean I was one of those face contorting Jim Careyish funny people or that I was a compulsive freaky liar. And if she did mean the compulsive freaky liar bit, how the heck did she know because really, we didn't interact that much...or shoot, was it the tales of my liecapades reached far and wide or did I give out aura of fanatic liar?]

VT: ME!

Me: Yeah...I have been doing ok.
[modifying lie in case Venerable trainer turns out to have discerning insight of cryptic conversation having batchmate]

VT: Ok.

40 minutes of wheezing, crunching and weights later,

VT: hey, I checked your file and we only have 3 more classes left.

Me: Oh ok.

VT: Uhmm...That means....yeah, You know what? I am going to give you a copy of all the different workouts we've been doing together. Yeah, that's what I am going to do.

Me: Oh Ok.

VT: Look, you need to keep doing this. Because you've been doing good and you know...

Me: Oh ok.

Blast! I am kind of flipping out now. I mean, that's a trained professional whose livelihood depends on you not knowing the tricks of their trade, right?

And SHE gave ME the tricks because I am hopeless non-cardio doing fudger, that's what I am.
This shall not be told to the Boy who will tut-tut and bug me forever.

This has also invigorated my fat against own flab!

UPDATE:

Today: colleague DC and I went to office gym during lunch hour and did all sorts of weights and cardio.
I shall not go down as hopeless chubby to be made fun of by cousinwithgoodreason.

How do you manage to spend your lunch hour working out?? :O

The next thing that comes to my mind after gym is food and sleep.

Hey,

Not to dis working out, it's highly important and all, but have you considered something like Dr. Bernstein's clinic? I dunno if they have 'em in the US, but my boss was with them for 4 months now, and he's lost over 100 pounds! He's an extreme example of course(and he doesn't work out at all), but it seems a much more painless (but expensive!) way of doing it. I'd consider it myself if I had a good reason(like getting married!) to do it.

Just a thought to try and decrease your stress.

Yeah I had the same doubts about working out and then going back to work but surprisingly, I feel rather energized after it. And they have a little shower and the whole working out at 1pm has made me so much less grouchy in the afternoons :)

M.L. - uHMM...i don't think we have it here. But from it's website, it sounds like you have to work out there too right?
