Topsy-turvy
MY FATHER knows! about the non-christian boy.
And is not happy. And is being talked to by family.
Great-Uncle and almost-grandparents know! about the non-christian boy.
And are mite sad but happy that I am happy.
The thought that is in the back of my head
great-uncle & grandparents who I labeled too old fashioned have accepted when well travelled and well loved father hasn't.
How strange is life when topsyturvy things happen.

Came here from Beks' site. Just wanted to tell you to hang in there. I'm a Hindu married to a Mallu Catholic - marriage experience was a drama, what can I say, but total fun anyhoos and sooo worth it :D
Yes, but it's mallu dad's role to be extra stubborn about stuff like this. Hang in there.
hang in there! since older generation is for it, i.e. older than your Dad, he'll come around. after all it's usually "aver okkey enna parayum"
Well, your world hasn't fallen apart. People are talking to your father. Take heart Me. It all looks very optomistic from this outsider's point of view.
Meeeeeeeee .....just keep showing a sad face to ur father...he will soon say oooookkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk....:))))
....the most difficult part is in saying this to parents...once that is done everything will happen...& believe me once your father says yes...things will happen so fast....before you realize.... you will get married.....
Hey Me...your dad is probably finding it hard to give up his plans for you, I'm sure he'll come around to it in time.
Out of curiosity have you parents ever met the Boy?
Paperback, Mint, Hillgrandmom and annon - thank you much!
Me - congrats on getting married!
And beks - the father did meet the boy when he was here on a trip. Loved him then but of course thought of him as the non-threatening friend.
Me - I've been thinking about you. I'm glad he finally knows and that you have your family's support to help you with your dad.
It'll be fine. You'll be fine.
whew!! finally father knows...ain't that reason enough to be happy??? ;)
