Roomie snapped at me (hard) when I told her (for like the hundreth time) about just how impressive Viggo was on Charlie Rose
But did that stop me from crushing on him? NO
And being called silly and insane by Friend who giggles when told about the many languages Viggo knows (3 fluent 4 not so fluent) didn't stop me either
The Boyfriend being wry and dry about obssession and saying he was far too busy living in the real world to hear about my ficitious back-up boyfriend didn't stop me.
What did stop me is this from gofugyourself

My wife has a MAJOR crush on Viggo as well. Like you, she hides her infatuation behind a veil of respect for his politics and multilinguality (is that a word?) but I can see through her ruse.
Nonetheless, I'm not sure I'll show her this picture, I'd hate to ruin the fantasy.

fell in love with Christina Aguilera (to the greatest chagrin to my Rock & Metal spirit) when i first saw her in 'Genie in a bottle'..then it was 'Nobody wants to be Lonely' and i slipped further...and finally with 'Dirrty' i was flat on the ground.
see that's the advantage of being a guy...your fantasy babe cannot grow a moustache among other things & turn you off (i.e. of course, unless you are a Britney fan).
