Why SharrT is right
SharrT is my oldest friend. She is a wise being because she welcomes and makes all the egos in your head comfortable. But sometimes, she sits you & the legion down and tells you some truths.
Your ‘I’ seems to be planning a coup. You are seriously running the risk of developing an ‘I’ syndrome.
An ‘I’ syndrome, SharrT?
Yeah, you are obsessed with you.
Well, Everybody has an ‘I’ syndrome.
Yours is becoming an OCD.
After eight years of thinking about it, I think she may be right.
The Queen I am told by the NYT has traveled to 129 countries.
What? Oh really? Lets see about that.
I make a list of all the countries I have traveled to.
9.
She’s 80. 129 in 80 yrs.
I have now spent 15 minutes calculating how many countries I should travel to every year to top that.
Marie, my 23 year old best dressed friend in gradschool, is going through an ‘identitywhatshoudldowithmylife’ crisis.
I empathize.
Oh, how I emphathise.
My email to her ends with. “Not knowing what you want to do at 23 is not so bad when compared to not knowing your purpose at twentyfreakingeight. You can’t top that”
Even in other people's identity crises, I intend to reign supreme.
Every year or so, I send out an email to close friends asking them, in a I hope pragmatic manner, to rate my humour. I am still funny, right? Have I lost it? Do you know anybody who’s funnier?
Yeeshka.
