Today
Roomie and I made a totally Indian lunch.
Because it was a totally Indian lunch, we ate it at 4pm because that's how long a totally indian lunch takes to cook. (for us atleast)
We made Chicken curry, our own variant of sabzi (potatoes+cauliflower+green peppers), and baked beans (to which I added Indian spices, thus baptizing it Indian)
We had all of that with whole grain tortillas (because I am eating healthy to meet boyfriend's parents ) and fattening white rice (which only skinny beautiful roomie ate)
We topped it off with a huge $5.67 watermelon which we cut open once, dropped twice and then sliced inexpertly with scary knife. And Pineapple. The real prickly type. We were so high on our cooking that we chopped it open and ate it fresh. I love summer.
Roomie and I then curled up in wonderful midwestern sunshine and watched capote. Life is nice.
