Ever since the Danish cartoon controversey, I have been thinking. Is Islam inherently a violent religion or is it that every religion is violent in its reaction to negativity?
Then I saw Water and after reading about the 5 year journey of Deepa Mehta to make this incredible movie, I realise that every religion resorts to some sort of protest when it is questioned and prodded.
Ms. Mehta and her elemental triologies Fire, Earth and Water. Fire and Earth were both associated with violent protests by fundementalist Hindus who deemed it anti-Hindu and a "social Aids".
I wonder how many more examples I can find of religious intolerance and violence if I try?
